Beginner ASL Class – Starting September 7^th

FSDB (Florida School for the Deaf and Blind) is offering classes in American Sign Language for community members.

This 10-week session we are offering is a beginner level class from Tuewww.cilj.comsday, September 7 to Tuesday, November 9, 2010. The class will meet from 4:00-5:30 p.m. in the Center for Leadership Development Room in Moore Hall on the FSDB campus.

The class fee is $70.00, and the book used will be “A Basic Course in American Sign Language.” If you need to purchase a book, it will be an additional cost of $30.00. Space is limited and participants must be at least age 15. I'm sorry to tell everyone that I got news that ILRC's WII Tournament Party is cancelled for this Friday and will come back in September because people have summer vacations.

I am sure it will be a big party in September! ;)

this July 10th Summer Fun Event which was due to be held on Saturday July
10th at the Princess Place Preserve park in Palm Coast. We were informed
that many people who wanted to attend or help with this event had other
plans such as summer vacations, which is understandable.

We are however very excited about the upcoming Summer Deaf Blast at the St.
Augustine Pier on Saturday August 14th as we are expecting a large turn out
so be sure to save this date!
