If you have auto insurance, you might qualify for a free windshield replacement once a year. MA and FL are the only two states that require this, while KY and SC allow for all glass replacement (source). You can just call up any company that does the replacement to get this done and they will send the bill to your insurance. But be sure to call your insurance first to see if you qualify for this!

I did this once last year, and it is true. I just called up my insurance State Farm for referrals, and they sent me a glass guy to replace my windshield right at my home.

Just thought I'd share this useful tip as I noticed many people had no idea about this cool law.
