Attached is the Spring 2010, Deaf Rights Nights (DRN) Flyer. Please disseminate this flyer widely. (map in PDF) We are now BROADCASTING the DRN to other parts of Florida. First session: Wed, February 17, 6:00 – 8:00 pm Can you answer these questions? 1. What is a credit report? 2. What is a credit score? 3. Why should I be concerned with my credit report? 4. What do the different terms mean on my credit report? 5. How long do things stay on my credit report? 6. I can’t understand my credit report, and feel overwhelmed, who can help me? 7. What if I see something on my report that is not mine? 8. I always pay my bills, but sometimes I am late - is that bad for my credit score? 9. When can people “pull” my credit report to check on me? This This is a special DRN session. So that you can learn more from this workshop, feel free to BRING a copy of your credit report to the DRN session. If you do not have a copy, use the instructions below. To get a FREE copy of your credit report : 1. go to www.AnnualCreditReport.com. (We are NOT recommending you use any other web page for a free credit report). 2. Fill in the information on the first screen (Name, address etc.) 3. When it asks which reporting agency you want ( Equifax, TransUnion or Experian)- pick any one , but only one. 4. When you get to the Experian, Equifax or TransUnion screen- select the button on the top of the screen that tells you to go back to annualcreditreport.com- do NOT ORDER any services unless you wish to do so- this report should be totally free. 5. The credit report should arrive at your house in approximately 2 weeks.
Please come to the DRN session and learn more about your legal rights. (If you would like to become a broadcast site please contact Christine Giancola at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it ) Christine Giancola
